Outreach

At Community UMC, outreach isn’t just a program — it’s how we live our faith in action. Through partnerships with local nonprofits, ongoing ministries like Rooted & Rising and Stephen Ministry, and our internal Community Cares team, we serve our neighbors near and far with compassion and care.

Rooted & Rising - Washington Park

Community UMC supports the Washington Park Food Pantry through our ongoing Rooted & Rising ministry. We collect nonperishable food, hygiene products, and household essentials throughout the year to help our neighbors in need.

Community Cares & Pastoral Visits

Through cards, calls, and visits, this ministry helps our church family feel remembered and cared for. In partnership with Pastor Tim, it reflects our mission to share Christ’s love through genuine connection.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are specially trained lay caregivers who provide confidential, Christ-centered support and encouragement to those walking through challenging seasons of life.
