With: Carmen Nickerson and Kostia Efimov

Thursday,  March 19, 2026

Carmen Nickerson and Kostia Efimov bring together two powerful musical journeys. Carmen’s Iowa-grown roots and expressive vocal style shine through songs from her acclaimed debut solo album Room to Grow, praised by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel for her “shimmering voice that seizes the spotlight.”
Her songwriting reflects themes of growth, hope, and life’s everyday beauty. Pianist Kostia Efimov is classically trained in St. Petersburg and came to the United States to record with Narada Records. His rich musical background adds depth and elegance to every performance. Together, they create a dynamic blend of voice and piano. Their music spans classical, jazz, and pop styles, resulting in a sound that is both heartfelt and exhilarating. Room to Grow has been called “quite the gem” by Americana Highways, highlighting Carmen’s remarkable
talent and promise. Audiences can expect an intimate, engaging, and emotionally rich musical experience.

Who was the "real" Rosie the riveter? It was Rosie the Riveter to the rescue during WWII, when
America experienced an acute labor shortage, threatening the continued output of American
manufacturing and the war effort itself. Come and learn about the women who brought a lifetime of
experience to a transformational time in the lives of pioneering women. They gave the US a new
icon of strength, determination, and reliability, promoting the changing perception of working
women.
