Family Ministry
At Community UMC, we joyfully welcome children and families as an essential part of our church family—today, not just someday. From the Nursery and Children’s Chapel to Grace Space and family-friendly gatherings, every laugh, question, and wiggle is a celebration of God’s love at work. Here, faith grows in community—where generations learn from one another, hearts are nurtured, and everyone finds a place to belong.

Wesley & Faith
Meet Wesley and Faith!
Wesley is your friendly guide at Children’s Chapel—he can’t wait to learn, laugh, and grow in faith with his friends each Sunday. His little sister Faith isn’t quite old enough yet, so she spends her mornings in the Nursery—perfect for our youngest lambs, ages 3 and under!
Children's Chapel
Family Ministry at Community UMC is excited to invite children ages 4–12 to Children’s Chapel, held each Sunday during worship! Kids will enjoy their own age-appropriate time of learning, faith, and fun.
Worship begins together as a family in the Sanctuary, then children are invited to Children’s Chapel while the congregation continues in worship. Before the service ends, they’ll return to join their families as we close together in praise and prayer.

Nursery
For our smallest friends, ages 3 and under, the Nursery is a place where love abounds. Through songs, play, and gentle care, even our youngest children learn that God’s love is all around them.
Grace Space
Grace Space is a special area at the front of the Sanctuary where young children can engage in worship in age-appropriate ways. It’s filled with materials that help them connect with what’s happening—children’s Bibles, books, coloring and drawing supplies, soft toys, and activities related to the week’s scripture theme.
During special services, like the Cantata, children remain in the Sanctuary—and Grace Space is the perfect spot for them to experience worship comfortably and joyfully.
