A huge thank you to this congregation for your generous donations to Book Ahead through the annual Mission Gift Festival. We can do so much with the funds that were donated by providing books to the littlest “readers” in underserved populations. The Intergenerational Committee of CUMC has created an event to get even more people involved and gather even more books for wee ones. Here is the plan: During the month of March, there will be Book Ahead donation bins located in the narthex and at The Connection. We would love for you to donate the same favorite books that you read to your own children or grandchildren.
Book Ahead is especially in need of board books. These are the most costly and distributed most often. If you want ideas for the types of books we use, please go to our website abookahead.org. Click on the RESOURCES tab at the top. You will see lists of books for the different age groups. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please specify Book Ahead in the memo line on your check, or use the Book Ahead option from the online giving menu.
