Preschool Through 2^nd Grade: Exploring Faith

Exploring Faith^® is a four-year Bible study for Sunday school that enables children to experience God through Jesus Christ. The Children and the adults who work with them will experience together, in a Christian community, the stories and messages of the Bible appropriate to the children's increasing maturity through lessons that provide opportunities for discussion and ideas for activities.

Exploring Faith will help children and the adults who work with them:

• Develop a deep and life-giving relationship with God
• Respond in faith to Jesus Christ's redeeming love
• Seek and trust the guidance of the Holy Spirit
• Recognize the Holy Bible as the Word of God, the primary
• Guide for faith and practice
• Identify themselves as children of God and grow in discipleship

3^rd Grade: Bible Zone Live

Where the Bible Comes To Life.

"Bible Zone Live" captures children's imaginations and makes Bible stories stick in their everyday lives! A classroom is created where children will encounter God's Word and reflect on how that Word matters in their lives. "Bible Zone Live" tells the complete Bible story - not just a Bible verse. Bible Zone helps children use their natural energy and enthusiasm with cooperative, fun games and group activities. It also includes storytelling that gets children involved in both the telling and the listening.

4th & 5th Grades - Route 52 - Grow Through the Bible

"Grow Through the Bible" will help kids make smart choices by learning why the Bible is different from any other book, investigating exciting truths discovered in the Bible, obeying God's commands that are found in the Bible, accepting God's salvation through His Son, Jesus. Each lesson features great teaching helps including full-page tear-out lesson plans, and reproducible activities.

Sunday Youth Ministry

Middle School - Grades 6th & 7th Pre-Confirmation

Year One

"The Bible - The Story of God's Faithfulness - A Survey of the Old Testament" This study of the Old Testament helps the participants make connections and see the whole picture through this sequential, systematic approach to Bible Study. The nine units (35 lessons) are titled: Introduction to the Course, Creating Faithfulness, A Faithful Family, A Faithful God, Judges and kings, Special Writings, Divided Kingdom, To Babylon and Back Again, and Review.

Year Two

"With All Boldness and Freedom - A Survey of the New Testament" This study of the New Testament helps the participants make connections and see the whole picture through this sequential, systematic approach to Bible Study. The seven units (35 lessons) are titled: Introduction to the Course; Jesus, the Early Years; The Ministry of Jesus; The Passion and the Resurrection; The Beginning of the Church; The Church Grows; Review.

Middle School - 8th Grade Confirmation

The Community United Methodist Confirmation Program exists to aid our 8th graders in their decision to become members of this congregation.

Confirmation class will explore the foundations of our personal faith, the history and heritage (Wesleyan beliefs and practices) of the United Methodist Church and how it compares and contrasts to other world religions in our pluralist society. In addition, confirmands will join United Methodist students from around the state at Jr. High Convo, a middle school youth event featuring speakers, bands along with time for fun and loads of new friends.

High School - Grades 9 - 12

The senior high class digs into current issues and events that bring faith to life.
