Children's Christmas Pagent

Our Sunday School presents the Christmas Story during the second service on the first Sunday in December.

Birthday Party For Jesus

Children ages 2 - 7 have a birthday party for Jesus the first Saturday in December. There are crafts, games & stories, to learn the reason for the season.

Bunny Breakfast

Children ages 2 - 10 have a breakfast & an egg hunt the Saturday of Palm Sunday weekend. There are crafts, games & stories, to learn more about Jesus.

Vacation Bible School

Begins on the first Monday after Elmbrook Schools is out for the summer and runs 9 - 11:30 am M-F. There are crafts, games & stories, singing and learning about Jesus.

Annual Church Picnic

CUMC's Annual Church Picnic will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2009 following the second worship service. This event will be held in CUMC's front yard.

Guess Who's Coming To Dinner?

This is a "get together for dinner" group with a different mix of people each time. It's a fun evening with dinners hosted at several homes. You only go to one home. Guests arrive bringing their meal contributions, hosts don't know who to expect for dinner till the door bell rings. This event is held quarterly. See the newsletter for up coming dates.

Las Posadas

Las Posadas (Spanish for "the inn") is a traditional Mexican festival which re-enacts Joseph's search for room at the inn. Each Christmas season, "Joseph and Mary" lead a procession through our community stopping at previously selected homes to ask for lodging. The people are invited in to read scriptures and sing Christmas carols called villancicos. One portion of a three-part meal is provided by the hosts as the entourage searches for lodging. Las Posadas is the first weekend in advent.

Ye Olde Christmas Feaste

YE OLDE CHRISTMAS FEASTE is biannually presented by our Youth Choir in December. Fellowship Hall will be transformed into a medieval setting and those attending will enjoy a beautifully appointed, lavish dinner hosted by the king, queen and their court. Throughout the evening you will be treated to beautiful Christmas music of all kinds and Madrigal entertainment. Proceeds go to a charity selected by our youth.
